Charisma’s Landing, LLC at Shawmut Springs Farm is a small family-run boarding farm and an educational and healing center for horses and their owners. Our mission is to provide an environment that creates and supports vibrant physical health, mental health, and wellness in horses throughout all stages of life and work.

Our cutting-edge forage-based nutritional program which is tailored to each horse and our management, including a track system, is designed to promote health by aligning food and turnout with horses’ physiological needs. When horses are supported with nutrition and management that leverages their innate capacity for self-healing and wellness, they thrive. When horses thrive, owners also thrive. We pride ourselves on supporting each owner with guidance and education to better understand their animal’s physical and mental needs and to deepen their relationship with their horse. We have a network of professionals that provide additional resources and advice as needed, and we host clinics, demonstrations, and educational sessions to broaden awareness and understanding of the many ways in which horses’ lives can be improved. In Honor of Charisma
The Story Behind Charisma’s Landing
Charisma was my first horse - a soulful, spirited partner who taught me more than I ever expected. She faced complex medical challenges that conventional treatments couldn’t resolve, and at the time, I didn’t yet have the knowledge of holistic and integrative care that might have made a difference. Losing her changed everything. It lit a fire in me to learn more, to do more, and to ensure other horses received the kind of individualized, whole-horse support she never had.

Today, Charisma rests peacefully on the hill overlooking the farm. Her presence is felt in everything we do. She’s the heart behind Charisma’s Landing—a daily reminder of why education, compassion, and personalized care are the foundation of our work. Every horse that comes here is truly seen, heard, and supported—just as she should have been.

As a paramedic, I have always prioritized patient-centered care, ensuring that every individual receives thoughtful, personalized attention. That same philosophy extends to the horses I work with—both here at Charisma’s Landing LLC and at the farms I visit. My approach to equine care is rooted in whole horse health, focusing on both the physical and mental well-being of each horse, just as I would with my human patients.
